Lucy Anderson
Lucy has spent many years working with animals in various roles. She has a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Psychology and a Diploma of Applied Science. Lucy has studied, and continues, to increase her knowledge of animals and animal behaviour particularly dogs. She is a Fear Free Certified Professional, Low Stress Handling Certified, has completed the KPA Better Veterinary visits and is a member of APDTNZ.
Building a strong relationship and understanding your dog should be essential parts of dog training. Lucy focuses on these areas as well as human factors which influence this relationship. Her methods are based in science and learning theory. Positive reinforcement methods are used most often and she doesn't use aversives such as shock or e-collars, or prong collars. Lucy has three dogs, Krueger, Myers, and Craven. She competes in dryland sledding. She also has one cat, Torrance.
